By establishing end dates and review periods, grants are prevented from being paid out beyond approved dates and the system also ensures that multiple claims for single families can be processed in one transaction, with letters to parents automatically generated.

Bolt on tools are available that enable the automatic import of ECS returns directly against relevant claims.

This enables the service to check and update eligibility for Free School Meal claims, and quickly and efficiently respond to the results of such checking. This ensures claims can be closed at the earliest opportunity, potentially reducing expenditure on over paid free school meals significantly.
