Early years

You need a clear picture of children and families within your authority, so you can tailor your services to meet their needs. Capita One’s suite of Early Years solutions helps support families with children in foundation years, promoting access to high quality childcare and family services.

Combining data on attendance and engagement with families, you have a clear indication of what services are being accessed by disadvantaged groups and where best to target future resources.

Tailor services to meet the needs of your community

Capita One provides a comprehensive picture of Early Years provision within your local reach areas, hubs or authority wide.  Participation of children and families at childcare and family services can be captured and further analysed to ensure you are meeting local needs.  Services can be promoted online to provide your community with easy access to information about the range of provision and support available to them.

Supports Free Entitlement Funding

Our headcount self-service solution aims to reduce local authority administration and costs associated with processing funding claims from childcare providers.  Information can be input directly by the childcare provider via an online portal.  The data captured is automatically validated and securely transferred into One Early Years. Payments can be swiftly calculated for eligible two, three and four year olds and sent to the nurseries via the authority’s financial management system.

eStart demonstrates a clear understanding of government initiatives in the children’s sector. The module is helping us to develop the necessary agility to perform well.

Measure the impact of services

Children's Centres can measure the outcomes and effectiveness a service or event has made on the progress of families and children.  The most disadvantaged families within your community can be easily identified along with the number of times they have been 'reached' to support the new Ofsted inspection framework.
