At the risk of sounding like a festive retail chain ad, this is a wonderful time of the year to be in my role at Capita One. It’s not that I’m showered with chocolate eggs from colleagues (far from it) or that we start having management meetings in the nearby country park (now there’s an idea…). It’s because we have our key event of the year coming up – our National User Group – on 26 and 27 April.
There’s always a sense of great anticipation leading up to the National User Group - and I know my colleagues within the One team really value being able to meet you in person and ensure you have all you need to make the most of your investment in One. We also, of course, can’t wait to ‘show and tell’ you about our new solutions and enhancements.
This year’s theme - Innovate, Collaborate, Transform – focuses on how technology can support local authorities to work effectively with other agencies to help turn around the lives of children and families. I’ve pulled out a couple of reasons why I think it’s two days that you’ll consider well spent:
1. You’ll come away buzzing with ideas
You’ll have the chance to hear from industry experts, including David Spezia of world-leading business intelligence software company Tableau, who will be covering key trends in information technology and how these could affect your local authority.
2. You’ll have a fresh perspective on your role
It’s a unique opportunity to network with colleagues, and the Capita One team, to discuss the key issues facing children and family services, including how information management can support your authority’s aims.
3. You can personalise the event to get what you need out of the two days
By being able to personalise your event experience with our elective programme, you can choose to find out about our new solutions or how to get more from a particular module – either way, you’re selecting the most relevant content to help you get the most out of One.
We know from previous years’ feedback that customers see the One National User Group as a valuable two days spent out of the office. Each year we see more and more local authority colleagues choosing to join us, which is why we’ve switched this year’s location to the characterful Chesford Grange in Warwickshire.
I very much hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you to this year’s One National User Group.
