It seems incredible that a year has passed since I was last blogging about Capita One attending the National Children and Adult Services Conference (NCASC).
Incredible for two reasons: firstly because so much seems to have happened since last October in terms of developing our new Social Care solution that I can barely believe it’s only a year. If a week is a long time in politics, a year can represent a whole new era in the world of software development.
Secondly (and conversely), there’s the familiar astonishment of ‘where has the year gone’? I can remember those face-to-face conversations with NCASC delegates so clearly, they seem to have taken place much more recently. We really valued delegates taking the time to share their thoughts and, if you haven’t already, it’s well worth taking a look at the cartoon-style artistic portrayal of these views.
What we’ve been up to in the last 12 months
Since last year’s NCASC we’ve been shadowing social workers and closely consulting local authorities to see where the blocks were to efficient workflows, to shape our new Social Care solution to specifically meet the needs of local authority social care teams.
Our product development team has been busy translating those requirements into code, working in agile ‘sprints’ to enable us to adapt the solution in line with the continuous feedback we’ve sought from the social care community throughout the process.
The result? A holistic, fully integrated system which supports smarter case management and multi-agency collaboration, ensuring every detail is picked up.
What to expect from Capita One at this year’s NCASC
We’ll be previewing our new Social Care solution this October at the NCASC and believe that this new, innovative technology can transform how social care services for adults, children and families are delivered.
We believe this because we know, if you could change one thing about your social care services, it would be for your social care teams to have more time with the people who need them.
Our new solution can help with exactly that. From safeguarding the most vulnerable children and adults, to effective multi-agency working, One Social Care can support you and your social care teams in delivering better outcomes for all, helping you understand which interventions and services are delivering results and ensuring you have all the tools you need to support and retain an empowered workforce.

Please do come and see us at stand C30 at NCASC to discuss how our technology can help you achieve your aims for the social care services in your authority. We very much look forward to seeing you there.
