Not the most modest of claims, I realise. However, having returned from the insightful National Children and Adult Services Conference (NCASC) earlier this month, the feedback from delegates in response to our new Social Care solution is still ringing in my ears.
‘Wow – this is fantastic!’ was just one of the many enthusiastic reactions to our demonstrations of the software on our stand at the conference. This is the software we’ve been developing closely with local authorities and with social workers themselves, to ensure we understood exactly where the administrative pain points were for social care teams, and could devise a solution to help.
A holistic, fully integrated system, the new One Social Care solution supports smarter case management and multi-agency collaboration. I believe whole-heartedly that this new, innovative technology can transform how social care services are delivered, freeing social workers to focus on the adults, children and families who need them.
What the buzz was about…
So what were the features that the NCASC delegates were so impressed with?
Firstly, the dashboard itself is intuitive and clear. Let’s say you’re working with Sam, a 14 year old girl, and there have been a number of events and interventions related to her since you last logged in. On your dashboard, Sam’s picture will show as a larger image than those who have had less events or interactions, with alerts to inform you when you should be exploring a new connection or event.
The connections viewer is also user-friendly, allowing you to explore relationships and trends. If, say, another social care professional had recorded that a person related to Sam was known to be connected with a gang, you could see this, and put further measures in place to help protect Sam.
Another valuable feature, to which we also received a particularly positive response, is the timeline tool. With this, social workers can identify patterns, including the impact of interventions from multi-agency teams – crucial intelligence for deciding next steps for that young person.
That’s not all…
These are just a flavour of some of the breadth of features of the new solution – I could go on for ever talking about how One embraces multi-agency family working, supporting the sharing of information with authorised professionals from other departments and agencies and ensuring every detail is picked up.
I could also talk at length about how the case management tools support online and offline working on tablets, removing the need for social workers to retype notes so they have more face-to-face time with people.
But I won’t. Instead, I’d like to invite you to contact the One team for a demonstration of how our Social Care solution – we’d be delighted to show you how One can support your social care teams to deliver better outcomes for all, freeing your social workers for the all-important day job of supporting vulnerable children and adults.
