How time flies! It’s hard to believe that only a year ago we switched off SupportNet and launched My Account.
There’s been lots going on behind the scenes since the launch back in March 2015, as we’ve been working to continually enhance the user experience and take your feedback on board.
With My Account’s first birthday now here, I wanted to reflect on the progress that has been made and update you on the plans we have for the near future.
It’s been really pleasing to see so many customers logging on over the course of the last year and we’ve made various improvements since the launch as a direct result of your feedback. Some of these include: adding advanced filtering to the global search results so you can filter your results by the type of content you’re looking for; increasing the amount of forum posts visible on each screen; and ensuring documents open in your browser automatically.
A full summary of improvements can be found within the My Account Improvements Notification.
Improving the search functionality
Many of you have asked what’s in the pipeline for My Account, and improving the quality of the search functionality has always been one of our top priorities.
We have a number of significant enhancements coming soon which we hope will make things much easier and quicker to find – you can get an idea of the changes we’ll be making from this overview of the Search Improvements Project.
New forum designs
Once the Search functionality has been implemented, we’ll be moving forward with our new enhanced forum designs to create a much cleaner look and feel for our community forums. It’s coming soon and we can’t wait to show you when it goes live.
You can see the forum designs in this overview of the Forum Improvements Project, along with a detailed outline of the improvements we’ll be making. This includes the ability to see how many views each thread has had and you will receive alerts on threads you created or have contributed to.
