We really value the feedback and input that we receive from our customers, which is why we recently conducted a questionnaire to get your thoughts on our new Capita One SEND Portal.
It was interesting to read through the responses, which showed that many of you are planning to implement the SEND Portal in the future.
Another key theme that emerged from the responses was how important it is to be communicating with parents through the portal, especially with parents now getting more used to engaging with their local authority online.
The feedback we receive from local authorities plays a vital role in helping us to enhance our solutions. This is something that we will continue to develop by listening and taking on board your comments and requests.
Over the course of last year, we have been working on the portal in partnership with a number of local authorities. One of the key priorities that came out of this was the need to embrace the culture of the SEND reforms by making it possible for stakeholders working with the child and family to be more involved in assessments.
What this means is that every single person involved can access the same information via the portal and decide with the young person what their Education, Health and Care plan would be. To support this, we’re enhancing how school and college placements, and provision from different services, are managed in the portal, making it easier for councils to view the details of a young person.
