It’s hard to believe that in less than a month’s time, we’ll be hitting the two year mark since launching My Account. A lot has happened over that period and as we approach this milestone, I wanted to give you a first look at the exciting plans we have in place to enhance the homepage.
Over the past few months, I’ve enjoyed sharing the many features and functionality we’ve added to My Account – from hot topic product pages and logging change requests through to becoming a superuser – and 2017 promises to have a lot more in store.
We continue to listen closely to your feedback and this has played an important role in helping to shape a number of improvements to the homepage design.
An enhanced layout
As you’ll see from the screenshot below, these designs will maximise the use of space available to give the homepage a cleaner and more engaging look. We’ll be splitting the big banner area at the bottom into several smaller areas to bring more targeted content to your attention such as the latest One Releases, training data or upcoming events.
It will also be easier to spot the latest content, as notifications, hot topics and tickets will now be colour-coded if they are new (green) or updated (orange) within the past 24 hours.
New! Customise your Customer Service widget
Depending on your role in your organisation, you’re likely to find some information more useful than others.
Therefore, you‘ll now have the ability to customise the tickets widget in the Customer Service area, so you can choose whether you’d like to have a view of all the tickets raised from your organisation or just your own tickets visible on the homepage. Whichever you choose, your preference will be saved for the next time you log in.
Let us know your views
These enhancements are scheduled to go live in March 2017, but in the meantime, we’d love to hear your feedback. Please post any comments below or in the My Account Support forums.
I hope you found this information useful. To find out more about new enhancements and how to make the most of using My Account, please take a look at my other blog posts.
