Shape the future - that’s the theme of this year’s Capita One National User Group, chosen because it so aptly encapsulates our ethos of listening, and taking on board, your views about the future of One. The theme also recognises your in-depth knowledge of the importance of data, which puts you at the forefront of helping to shape your authority’s digital transformation agenda.
Cutting-edge insight from the platform
Being held on 25 and 26 April at Chesford Grange in Warwickshire, this year’s National User Group features inspiring and thought-provoking presentations, both from the main platform and during the elective sessions.
We’ll be welcoming award-winning cyber-security expert Graham Cluley to the platform for an illuminating talk on the latest data security issues. If you don’t already follow him, his website is highly regarded and definitely worth a look.
We’re also delighted to have Neil Mackin, Analytics Director at Capita, speaking about how data analytics can support local authorities with decision-making, including how machine learning can help with identifying young people at risk of negative outcomes.
Personalise your event agenda to suit your interests
There’s a wide range of elective sessions to choose from, whether you’d like to strengthen your knowledge of data analytics, know how to progress your authority’s digital agenda or understand how to manage the 30 hours of funded childcare. Simply select those electives you’re most interested in for a truly personalised event experience where you drive the agenda to get the most out of the two days.
In addition there’ll be the usual opportunities to chat with the Capita One staff and make use of the Discovery hub throughout the two days for more information on any particular solution areas.
Which leads me to the introduction of Steve Russell who, as Capita One Product Management Director, will be talking you through our product strategy for 2017 and beyond: Steve will be familiar to some of you already through his involvement with One customers as both Professional Services Director and Chief Customer Officer, and he’ll be driving forward the development of One to ensure it continues to evolve to meet your needs.
My new role, as Sales and Professional Services Director, gives me the opportunity to have more of a focus on direct liaison with customers, from the provision of new solutions to supporting you to make the most of the One products you already have. I’ll particularly enjoy being able to spend more time with you face to face and I solemnly promise not to crack football jokes to those who don’t share the same enthusiasm for the great game...
A unique opportunity to share experiences with local authority colleagues
Of course, one of the benefits of the National User Group most valued by delegates is the chance to chat with colleagues from other local authorities, to share best practice and experiences. We know how important this is for adding value to the two days and we always factor in breaks to give you the time to catch up with colleagues.
