Paul Brotherton is the Cambridge Education Strategic Information Manager working with Slough Borough Council. He talks about the Capita One Early Years Headcount Provider Portal:
“The portal has greatly benefited both the local authority and the Early Years settings which have used it. The main advantage for us at the local authority is that the process of importing data is much simpler and quicker. Also, the resulting data is much more accurate as we are no longer using other import processes or manual data entry methods which often led to duplicates being created.”
Paul explains why early years providers value using the portal: “The settings love how easy the portal is to use and its self-service nature. For example, they can reset their own passwords rather than relying on system administrators. They’ve noted a substantial reduction in time spent entering data in alternative systems, especially as it remembers the data they have entered before - i.e. you enter just once and use many times.”
