It is critical for local authorities to use their information to tailor services better to the needs and interests of individual families and children.
Worcestershire County Council had to migrate its local programmes into multi-faceted Children’s Centres and consistently share and record client information onto a single system to meet government reporting requirements.
The council chose the Capita eStart information tracking and management module as it offered a migration path from its existing IT systems, scalability for new Children’s Centres to be added to its network and supported the recording, monitoring and evaluation of services.
All ten centres in Worcestershire will shortly have a web-based monitoring module in place, which will rise to 25. The council are confident eStart can accommodate this considerable and rapid expansion in both data volumes and users. It will also allow Worcestershire to understand their client needs better, communicate more effectively with them, and create less duplication.
